READ: 2 Peter 1
REFLECT: How does God give us the ability to execute His purpose for our lives?
RESOLVE: Write a phrase from the passage that affirms how God wants to use your life for His glory.
“For if these qualitiesare yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. 10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to confirm your calling and election, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall. 11 For in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Thanks for this post. Since 2013 began, I have been struggling trying to determine how to fit in some quality devotion time and also balance the need to spend time just simply reading the Word. This morning I picked up a devotion entitled “Experiencing God.” I read it from time to time and it works well because of how short it is. Well today the passage was about molds us and is not limited by our strengths. It focused on 2 Cor 12:9-10. I then decided to visit this site and catch up and was surprised to find today’s passage in 2 Peter. I think they go very well together. As I close today, I am reminded that I must “be all the more diligent to confirm” my calling and not worry about my strengths and weaknesses. God is in control and he will use me as he needs to, all I need to do is to be available. I am still not sure what study plan, devotional, or other resources I will use in 2013, but for now, it will at least be morning prayer time. Thanks for all that you all do on this site.

Even when I fail and sin. He is always there with open arms. Always understanding and guiding me in the right direction again. We all have a special skillset that make us shine in some form, thats when we should be thankful for what we are ctrad to be.
